Lent Day 24 The Parable of the Sower

A Spiritual Journey towards faith in Jesus Christ for Children

Day 24 - The Parable of the Sower
Family Scripture Reading: Matthew 13:1-23

Family Discussion Starters:

What is the farmer doing in the parable?
(He is scattering his seed to plant his crops)

Where are the four different places the seed lands?
(Along the path, in the rocky places, among the thorns and in good soil.)

What do each of the four places represent?
(Review Matthew 13:18-23)

How can Christians be like the good soil?
(The most important way to become good soil is to spend time with God. We do this by reading His word, going to church which is His house, meditating on what we read in the Bible, prayer and Bible study. We need to have a teachable spirit and ask God for wisdom.)
"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." James 1:5
