Women Gone Wise - Introduction

Women Gone Wise: Growing Together in a Titus2 Women’s Group
Amy Gentry

Introduction to Women Gone Wise
Make this an Amazing Summer!

Women Gone Wise is a summer Bible study you can do with one or more friends to learn, grow, teach, encourage and equip one another in wisdom and truth for the legacy of your marriage, children, home and more!

This study discusses the six Biblical principles that Titus2Women is based on; God, Spouse, Children, Home, Others and Service. These are found in Titus 2:3-5 (see below).

As the leader you will set the time and place then invite your friend(s) for a time of fellowship.  Any time and place will do as long as it is convenient and comfortable for all.

You will also read the conversation starters and allow the members of your group to respond and make comments.  If you don't know the answer to a question, no problem, simply go to a site like GotQuestions.org  or Biblegateway.com  for further discussion.  Your group is also invited to post questions on our Facebook page - Titus2Women.

We are going to make it very easy for you to minister to your girl friends while you all grow together spiritually to form a bond that could easily last a lifetime.

"Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled." Titus 2:3-5

Oh, My Heart

Oh, My Heart

I have recently been with my daughter registering her in college. What an exhilarating and wonderful experience it has been.

As I reflect on all this and how fast time has flown by..... I think back to her younger, more awkward years.

There were many times when she struggled, or when I was so worried if she had any friends.
I was also so bothered by her lack of care for her appearance when she was a preteen.

Why couldn't I just understand that she was just a normal young girl finding her way in this world.

All my daughter needed to hear from me during those times was that she was beautiful and amazing--because she IS.

She is now (despite all our worries) a determined, intelligent, hard-working young lady full of hope and promise for her future. She is better because of her struggles, mistakes, and her awkwardness.

Mommies, please trust the process and allow the difficulties to help shape your youngsters.  Don't waste time comparing her to others, just rejoice and nurture the beauty inside her.  Trust that she will blossom into the wonderful women God has created for her to be.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Romans 8:28

Women Encouraging Women

Women Encouraging Women

Ladies, We are better working together, not against each other.

When we fall for the comparison or jealousy trap, when we gossip or spread rumors, when we don't support and encourage each other--We ALL suffer.

Not only do we suffer, but we are taking the bait of the enemy who kills, steals and destroys.

Beloved Sister, consider the influence you could have on others. That difficult daughter-in-law, she could be a like daughter! That co-worker that grates your nerves, she may be hopeless and in great need of a friend.

Consider also all the gains in perspective and life being mentored by another woman.

Father, We pray & believe for relationships and opportunities to open up right before our eyes to grow along side another that can make a difference in our lives and us in hers. In Jesus name, Amen

"And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for such sacrifices God is pleased." Hebrews 13:16

"A new commandment I give you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another." John 13:34

"...that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the others faith, both yours and mine."
Romans 1:12

Introducing the T2W Upcoming DIY Summer Study

WOMEN GONE WISE

"They (women) are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled." Titus 2:2-5

As Titus 2 Women we are eager to learn, grow, teach, encourage and equip each other in wisdom and truth for the legacy of your marriage, children, home and more!

For this summer's study, you will be able to have complete materials available for you to start a group to learn and grow together.

Holding Offenses Can Take You Down

Holding Offenses Can Take You Down

I recently heard a story about an eagle who was spotted soaring through the air and swooped down to grab it's prey and started back up soaring again. All of a sudden the beautiful eagle fell to the ground. When those who observed this great creature in flight went to see what happened, what had killed it? They discovered that the eagle had captured a weasel as it's food, but the smaller, weaker weasel began to fight back as they soared through the air.

The eagle eventually fell from greatness because it refused to let go of what was eating at him.

"Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."  Isaiah 40:30

"The Lord is your mighty defender, perfect and just in all his ways; Your God is faithful and true; he does what is right and fair." Deuteronomy 32:4

"How can you say to your brother, "Let me take the speck out of your eye." when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?"
Matthew 7:4
