War In Heaven
Today's Reading: Revelation 12:7-12
"Then war broke out in Heaven; Michael and his angels
fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels also fought,
but Satan could not prevail and there was no place
in Heaven fro them any longer." Rev 12:7-8
Can you even imagine the joyous celebration the angelic beings will have when Satan is thrown out of heaven forever? HALLELUJAH! Praise the Lord!
Michael and his angels are heros! They fought valiantly and overcame these evil beings! But you and I can do the same. Through the power of our Lord we can overcome the temptations that come our way. When we accept Jesus as Savior we receive the Holy Spirit to dwell in us for our entire lives. We can have the same power as Michael and his angels!
Unfortunately for those on Earth, Satan being thrown down to them is not a good thing. Imagine how angry he is at his situation. John tells us that this is the third Woe!
"Woe to the Earth and the see, for the Devil has come down to you
with great fury, because he knows he has a short time."
Revelation 12:12
Let's quickly recap the Woe! Woe! Woe!
Woe! #1: 5th Trumpet: The Abyss is opened & Locusts terrorize humanity
Woe! #2: 6th Trumpet: 4 Angels released to kill a third of humankind
The 2 Witnesses are killed and resurrected
Woe! #3: 7th Trumpet: Satan expelled from heaven & thrown to earth
The Kingdom of the World has become
The Kingdom of our Lord!
Reflection: Do I truly realize and embrace the power of the Holy Spirit within me? Will I call on God's power for the next trial I face?
