The Friday Focus

It’s Better to Build Boys than Repair Men
As parents, it’s our duty to train our children. If we fail, children may grow up damaged and may need some healing. Proper training is calmly teaching them why certain behavior is not acceptable. Children, particularly the smart and strong willed ones, want to know why. Please don’t ever spank, speak, or punish your child out of anger. Softly saying to them why that action was not good is an opportunity for training. Afterward, when their little heart is open, soft and repentant, lead them to the Lord to confess, to ask his forgiveness, and to be cleansed.
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
