Lent Day 30 Who do You say Jesus Is?

A Spiritual Journey towards faith in Jesus Christ for Children

Day 30 - Who do You say Jesus Is?
Family Scripture Reading: Matthew 16:13-20

Family Discussion Starters:

Who did the disciples tell Jesus people thought He was?
(They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets." Matt 16:14)

Jesus then asked His disciples who they thought He was.
What did they say?
(Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.  Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.” Matt 16:16-17)

Who do you say Jesus is?
(Allow your child time to ask questions and respond. This is a really important question!  It is an excellent time to discuss the fact that Jesus is the Son of God. He is a lot of different things to us personally.  He is our teacher, our friend, our King, and our Savior.  If your child is ready allow him or her to discuss how to become a Christian with you.)
