Daylight Savings Time Ends

Thank goodness we all get an extra hour of sleep!  Remember to turn your clocks back this Saturday night before you go to bed or show up at church an hour early Sunday morning like my family did last year.  It was ok, we just went to IHOP.

T2W Fall Online Bible Study

Week Eight –  A Wise Woman
Women of the Bible – The Proverbs 31 Woman
by Carri Pratt

“I will praise the Lord who counsels me – even at night my conscience instructs me.” Psalm 16:7

The Woman of Proverbs 31 models many good qualities like hard work, fear of God, respect for spouse, foresight, encouragement, care for others, concern for the poor, and wisdom in handling money.

Wow!  Where does this woman find the time?

Please understand, the Proverbs 31 Woman is showcasing a Lifetime Of Accomplishments.  She did not simply wake up one day and receive a medal for mastering all areas of womanhood.  Every day and every night she relied on God to see her through and counsel her on all things.  Here is the good news; So can we!

"Who can find a capable wife?
She is far more precious than jewels.
The heart of her husband trusts in her,
and he will not lack anything good.
She rewards him with good, not evil,
all the days of her life."
Proverbs 31:10-12

So, how does one cultivate the talents this lady has mastered?  The first step is spending time with God in His word.  When you take the time to build your relationship with God, He will counsel you and give you everything you need. Also take the time to thank Him and praise Him!

He will guide your footsteps,
Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.”
Psalm 119:105
And answer your prayers.
“If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.”
John 14:14

We should all be taking small, daily steps to improve our walk as women, wives, mothers and as daughters of the King.
