What was wrong with the man on the mat?
Why did his friends bring him to Jesus?
(The man was a "paralytic" which means he was paralyzed and could not walk on his own. His friends could see his sickness and wanted him to be healed. They had faith in Jesus to make him better.)
What did the men have to do to get their friend to Jesus?
Was he healed?
(They had to first convince their friend that Jesus could help him. They then had to carry him, get him onto the roof then cut a hole in the roof and lower him down to Jesus. Yes! Jesus said, "Son, your sins are forgiven." Mark 2:5)
Would you go to this much trouble to bring a friend to Jesus?
