He “will rejoice over you
with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
The voices of this world are constantly
competing to be heard, they want your attention. What are they competing against? …the love
song that God is singing over you. He
rejoices over you with words, His Words.
His Words are in direct opposition to the words spoken to you from this
world: you’re not enough - worthy enough, skinny enough, rich enough… All of
the words that are in direct opposition to His voice?
This reminds me of a line
of the hymn “Crown Him with Many Crowns,” “Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns
out all music but its own.
