Train Them Up
The end goal in raising children is to get them
independent of you, the parent. Training should start as early as toddlerhood;
we mold them with what we say (or don’t say) and what we allow them to do (or
not do) for themselves.
There are many little ways throughout the day to teach
your children. For example: Instructing your toddler to sit at the table during
mealtime and to use their napkin to wipe their face instead of doing it for
them.
To smile warmly and gently instruct your child shows
them you trust them and will make them feel fully capable.
Responsible and hard working kids are not just born.
Expecting them to clear the table, throw away trash, and even to use proper
manners takes training. Start today!
“Train
up a child in the way he should go…”
Proverbs 22:6
