Self-Protection is
Self-Destruction
Our self reliant actions and reactions
are the opposite of walking in the Spirit. Defending oneself is not having faith in God for
that situation--He will make right what needs to be corrected. When we keep our
motives and heart clean, we remain blameless and he gets to be our defender and our
protector. Allow Him to remove your self-protective reactions that are so
unhealthy and unattractive and walk in love and trust that he has
our best interest.
Whoever goes to the Lord for safety, whoever remains under the
protection of the Almighty, can say to him, “You are my defender and protector.
You are my God; in you I trust.” Psalm 91:91
