September Recipe: Indian
Fry Bread
My new obsession. Here's
a quick and delicious recipe for Fry Bread for your Indian Tacos!
Ingredients:
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk
Directions:
Ingredients:
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk
Directions:
Mix the dry ingredients
first. 1 Cup all purpose flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp baking powder.
Next, add milk.
Start with 1/2 cup. You may have to add a little more milk or a little
more flour to get the right consistency. You don't want the dough too
sticky.....
Then, divide the dough
into two-three equal parts. I usually divide it in half. Flatten using
the palm of your hand. You don't want it too thin or it will become
crispy when you fry it.
Once you've done this
you're ready to cook! Place the dough in a skillet with hot cooking oil.
Fry on one side until it
starts to bubble on top.
Turn over.
Repeat the above steps
until you have the amount of fry bread needed. Yum!
Add your toppings, and
there you have it! Indian Tacos!
