Have you ever noticed how television views husbands as incompetent slackers? I have. I’ve seen countless sitcoms, dramas and reality TV shows that show wives being downright mean and treating husbands like they are just some silly goofball who can’t do anything right. I asked myself, “Am I guilty of that too?” YES! Is that reality? NO! This husband-bashing is so opposite of how God wants us to view our spouses. So many great books talk about this very subject on how as Christian wives we are to view our husbands with dignity and respect and when we do, the whole family reaps rewards!
The Message says: 1 Peter 3:1-4 “The same goes for you wives: Be good wives to your husbands, responsive to their needs. There are husbands who, indifferent as they are to any words about God, will becaptivated by your life of holy beauty. What matters is not your outer appearance—the styling of your hair, the jewelry you wear, the cut of your clothes—but your inner disposition.” Lord, help me reposition my inner disposition!
Challenge: Edify your husband in front of someone this month.

I thanked my husband for allowing me to go to a wonderful job with lots of christian women while he goes to a hard job to provide for us. We forget to thank our husbands sometimes. They carry the burden of trying their hardest to provide for us. They are the big bosses in the house and we are the little bosses if we live the way God planned. :)
