Come As You Are
Come As You Are
Just like when you decide to join a gym to get serious about your fitness, you start where you are.
You don't wait to get fit to go into the gym or start a healthy diet.
So it is with taking your life and (possibly destructive) habits and heading to the cross to trade out the old life for a new one.
Come to him as you are with all your bruises and stains, with the heaviness of your baggage of hurt, pain, disappointment. Come!
Come to him as you are with all your bruises and stains, with the heaviness of your baggage of hurt, pain, disappointment. Come!
He calls us to renewal, repentance, and restoration.
"Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent." Revelation 3:19
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me." Revelation 3:20

Womb Mate
Womb Mate
Parenthood isn’t always planned, but it’s ALWAYS a
gift.
“Behold,
children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like
arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.
Blessed
is the man whose quiver is full of them.
Psalm 127:3-5

Let The Redeemed of The Lord Say So
Let The Redeemed of The Lord Say So
Just as it was with Jonah when he eventually went to Nineveh, it is the word of our testimony that changes lives.
Your testimony is powerful and personal, no one can argue with your story and how it changed your life. Most will be intrigued and hear you out. Some will even be helped by your story if they are going through something similar.
"Let the redeemed of the LORD tell their story--those he redeemed from the hand of the foe.."
Psalm 107:2

Happy Anniversary Friday Focus
Happy Anniversary Friday Focus
This week is the 3rd Anniversary of The Friday Focus. It is our hope and prayer that these weekly pearls have inspired and encouraged you regularly in some way or another.
"Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to do what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God." Titus 2:2-5

One Year Bible
One Year Bible Reading from September 28th:
"Seek the LORD while He may be found;
call on Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way
and the evil man his thoughts.
Let him turn to the LORD, and He will
have mercy on him,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon."
Isaiah 55:6-7

The Appetite and Indulgence
The Appetite and Indulgence
Have you noticed the more bad food you eat, the more you crave it? The same is true of any indulgence whether it be envy, gossip, a bad attitude, or anything
that is unproductive. Once you feed an appetite it can easily rule and
dominate you, if you let it. Certain
things may have a much stronger hold on you than others.
Let’s examine what we are regularly over-indulging in
that will never satisfy? It doesn’t have to be something as obvious as smoking;
it could be social media, romance novels, or substance abuse. Whatever it may
be, it does have a consequence and it could come with a high price.
Be willing to
surrender any indulgences that are brought to your attention by asking God to
set you free, fill the void, and to sustain you.
“Everything
is permissible for me—but not everything is beneficial. Everything is
permissible for me but I will not be mastered by anything.” 1 Corinthians 6:12
“In
my anguish I cried out to the Lord, and he answered by setting me free.” Psalm 118:5

Praying God's Word for October
Dearest Heavenly Father God,
You are Almighty and Powerful. You are above all things and in all things. You are the source of all goodness, mercy and knowledge. We humbly ask that You help us Father to embrace Your Power, through The Holy Spirit, as we accept Jesus Christ, Your Son, as Savior and Lord of our lives.
We pray for those who consider the message of the cross foolishness. We pray that those who continue to walk in darkness would be led to the light that is only Jesus Christ.
In His Name we pray,
Amen
