It's All Perspective

 It’s All Perspective
by Kim Hawkins

Your mind is a powerful force. Certain thoughts or “beliefs” of what you "see" will hold you back and keep you from giving your very best for the results you want. With pride, fear, doubt, hurt, your mind can literally deceive you causing irrevocable damage.

It’s a true miracle that my darling husband and I are soon to celebrate 22 years of marriage. In all reality, it should be a celebration of 22 years without quitting or killing each other. Hahaha--no really.

We are finally in such a beautiful place. It’s hard to describe, but so worth every pain, every heartache, every foolish thought and action that we caused or endured.

It is now our mission to help others achieve this bliss much easier and sooner than we did. We had to go the long, hard way around this mountain, hopefully so you won’t have to.

Your perspective HAS to be unity. All your thoughts are unity. If not, dismiss them immediately. Pray the opposite of your fear/hurt and always respond in unconditional love. It may take a while, but soon you will win his trust and heart back.

It’s amazing when your heart is set on preserving the relationship, you no longer get easily offended and react in self preservation, which will always end ugly.

You will soon see just how fun it is to laugh it off or even laugh at yourself. Then, start to open up to being vulnerable which leads to a deep intimacy.

I’d say the most important factors in marriage are a friendship/emotional intimacy (for her), and being vulnerable/physical intimacy (for him).

The sooner you get started, you will have a different marriage with the same spouse. Halleluiah!!

Challenge: Be very aware of False Perception. Trust what happens, even in the disappointments that come your way. Do not defend yourself!  This includes protective walls, holding grudges, bitterness, and unforgiveness.

These reactions only isolate you further, and in hindsight, seem so foolish.

Assume goodwill and keep your heart upright and pure by trusting in He, the controller of your life.

“How I love you, Lord! You are my defender.  The Lord is my protector; he is my strong fortress. My God is my protection, and with him I am safe.”  Psalm 18:1-2
